General information about the INTERNET COUNCIL LLC Computer Course

COURSE N 1 in Microsoft WORD :

With this course, learn Word processing using Word on the Windows system. Learn create and set up simple documents as you master the basic skills necessary to use Word.

We will begin by familiarizing ourselves with the Word interface and basic principles such as the menu bar, too bars, dialog boxes, windows, the Help function and the Office Assistant.

Learn different ways to enter, select and modify text, using commands like copy and paste to move, copy and delete blocks of text.

Learn to select the document language, check spelling and grammar and use the thesaurus to find synonyms.

Learn to format text with differents fonts, styles and sizes, to format paragraphs using indents, alignment, spacing, borders and tabs. Lastly, we will work on creating page layouts using the Office Assistant.

Learn how to preview a text and modify necessary details before printing. Then learn to set page display and configure printing options such as the number and selection of pages to print, the number of copies to print and the type of documents to print.

Learn to create and format simple tables through selecting the number of rows and columns, selecting and moving yext within the table, as well as adding and deketing rows and columns.

We will then learn to use automatic insertions, learning to create, insert and modify them.

We will learn to use document management features such as saving, opening, copying and deleting.

Finally, we will learn to send messages and documents electronically with Word.

This course will be taught using the Microsoft Windows XP Home or Pro operating system and can be completed within 2 days or extended over longer period of time, if desired.

COURSE N 2 in Microsoft WORD :

In this intermediate-level course, we will begin with a quick revision of ways of moving and selecting text, formatting text and paragraphs, using the spell cheeck tool, page display and printing, and using the Help function.

Then we will study how to emphasize text through formatting  paragraphs ( line spacing, character spacing, indents ) using tabs, using the Office Assistant to manage the page layout.

We will learn to create and format simple tables through selecting the number of rows and columns, selecting and moving text within the table, as well as adding and deleting rows and columns.

We will then learn to create, insert and modify automatic insertions. 

Finally, we will learn to send messages and documents electronically with Word.

This intermediate-level course can be completed in one day, or spread out over several days, if desired.

COURSE N 3 in Microsoft WORD :

This course is geared to wards people who would like to create long report-style documents using Microsoft Word to generate an index, a table of contents, automatic page numbering ...

We will beging by learning to manage pages through inserting page and section breaks, inserting headers and footers.

We will then learn to use the document map to skip paragraphs, move elements, navigate through titles, print and automatically number titles.

We will learn to create a table of contents and personalize it using styles.

We will then study inserting charts and adding legends, creating and index, defining entries, insert tables and personalizing them, and using automatic marking.

To finish, we will work on using the master document mode to create, develop and revise sub-documents, as well as insert, divide and lock sub-documents.

COURSE N 4 in Microsoft EXCEL :

We will begin by familiarizing ourselves with the basic functions of the Excel spreadsheet program : workbooks, worksheets, cells, using windows and dialog boxes, menu bar, the Office assistant and using the help function to create a summary.

We will learn to create tables for entering and modifying data ( text, numbers, dates ); create data series, insert and delete rows and columns, select data, cells and blocks; move around in the spreadsheet.

We will then work with using basic formulas and equations, automatic totals, basic statistical functions ( averages, max... ) as well as the Euro () conversion tools.

We will learn to lay out tables by formatting text ( fonts, size, style ) and numbres (%, dates, Euro ...), aligning text, using borders, patterns and automatic formatting.

Lastly, we will learn to insert, rename and move around worksheets, to sort data, to save and manage workbooks.

This course can be completed within a 2-day period or extended over a longer period of time, if desired.

COURSE N 5 in Microsoft EXCEL:

To begin, we will quickly revise the basic functions of the Excel spreadsheet program : creating simple tables, entering, selecting and modifying data; moving around in the worksheet. We will also review formatting tables, formatting text and numbers (%, dates, Euro ...), text alignment, borders and patterns, automatic formatting. Before moving on, we will brush up on page display and printing, and managing workbooks ( saving, opening ... ).

We will then work with using basic formulas and equations, automatic totals, basic statistical functions ( averages, max ... ) as well as the Euro () conversion tools.

Lastly, we will learn to insert, rename and move around worksheets; to sort data, to save and manage workbooks.

We will finish the course by learning to sort data, to create automatic insertions, as well as insert, modify? OR DELETE AUTOMATIC INSERTIONS.

This course can be completed in one day, or extended over several days.
